Prices depend on quantity: we reply with a quotation for retail, wholesale and institutional orders.
Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is a clear to pale yellow liquid and one of the two main raw materials of flexible polyurethane foam. Reacted with polyol, water and additives it forms the foam blocks used in mattresses, sofas, car seats and cushions.
The common grade for slabstock foam is TDI 80/20, a blend of the 2,4 and 2,6 isomers. We supply TDI in sealed drums to foam producers and manufacturers, together with polyol, so foam makers can source both main materials from one supplier.
Handling: TDI is hazardous. It is harmful if inhaled and can cause breathing sensitisation and skin and eye irritation. Store drums sealed, cool and dry, and use it only with good ventilation and protective equipment. The safety data sheet comes with your quotation.
Most TDI is used with polyol to make flexible polyurethane foam for mattresses, furniture and cushions. It is also used in some coatings, sealants and adhesives.
